Camp Details

Camp Carmel is a Bahá'í school just for junior youth and youth! On the Fall Creek Reservoir east of Eugene, Oregon, Camp Carmel hosts 90-95 junior youth and youth, 30 youth counselors, 18-20 educational staff, plus our inclusion team, a medic team, a fully staffed kitchen, and the Camp Carmel committee. Participants will engage in classes, recreation, arts, devotions, and enriching evening programs.

This year’s theme:
Marriage and Family
"A family is a nation in miniature."
'Abdu'l-Bahá

As youth move toward the next chapter of their lives, questions about marriage and family life naturally begin to arise. Many may wonder: What is the purpose of marriage and raising children? Do I envision this as part of my future? What kind of family life would I hope to build? What qualities and aspirations should I cultivate in this regard? How does family life contribute to the well-being of society?

This year’s theme invites youth to explore these questions thoughtfully, reflect on the values that strengthen family and community life, and consider how building unity within the home contributes to a more just, peaceful, and unified world.
